Letters or PackagesIf you would like to send letters or packages, the declared value should be less than $100, otherwise we'll be doing all kinds of paperwork and paying taxes. Make sure you put both of our names on any packages. In general, there usually aren’t any problems with sending and receiving packages. Some have asked what would be fun for us to receive in Russia...magazines (especially Time, Newsweek, Christian and mountianeering), kids books, peanut butter, Heinz ketchup, spices/seasoning packets and worship CD’s and DVD movies are all very special treats. The T/A time for letters from the States is usually anywhere from 10 days to a couple of weeks or more. It’s also possible to send us personal correspondence (not packages) through SEND’s home office in MI, but that will probably take an additional two weeks or so to get to us.
